R. J. Theodore

R. J. Theodore (1980-2023) was an American author of science fantasy known for the Peridot Shift series, comprising Flotsam, Salvage, and Cast Off, the story of a damaged ship's crew searching for a place in a world reshaped by alchemical war, along with related novellas including The Bantam and The Silent Fringe. Over her career she published eight novels and more than a dozen short stories, totaling well over half a million words. She was also an active member of the online science fiction and fantasy community, appearing on podcasts and in genre magazines and supporting her work through reader platforms alongside traditional publishing.
