Rachel Aaron

Rachel Aaron is an American fantasy and science-fiction author born around 1982. She is best known for The Legend of Eli Monpress, a comic epic fantasy following a boastful con-man wizard, and for the urban fantasy Heartstrikers series, whose opening volume, Nice Dragons Finish Last, won the 2016 Audie Award for Best Fantasy; she has continued in the same vein with the DFZ series. Writing space opera as Rachel Bach, she authored the Paradox trilogy, beginning with Fortune's Pawn (2013). She has also written the nonfiction writing-craft guide 2k to 10k, drawn from her own experience of dramatically increasing her daily word count.
