Rachel Neumeier

Rachel Neumeier is an author of fantasy and young-adult fantasy. Her fantasy typically explores non-human viewpoints and world-building grounded in careful magic systems, spanning the Griffin Mage trilogy (Lord of the Changing Winds, Law of the Broken Earth, Land of the Burning Sands) and its companion The Floating Islands, the contemporary-set shapeshifter novel Black Dog and its sequels, and the more recent Tuyo series. Her young-adult novel Black Dog was acquired by the Angry Robot imprint Strange Chemistry, and she has also written the stand-alone House of Shadows and Death's Lady. Neumeier maintains an active author website with a newsletter and Patreon, and has spoken about deliberately restraining the romance elements in her paranormal fiction relative to genre norms.
