Rachel Vincent

Rachel Vincent is an American author, born in 1978 in Oklahoma, who writes across young-adult and adult fantasy and paranormal fiction. A New York Times bestseller, she is best known for the Soul Screamers young-adult series and the Shifters (Werecats) series, both centered on young women navigating hidden supernatural societies. Her later work includes the young-adult dystopian duology The Stars Never Rise, the adult dark-fantasy Menagerie series, and the contemporary fantasy Unbound books. Vincent's fiction typically follows strong female protagonists confronting secret magical worlds embedded within ordinary settings, blending romance, action, and coming-of-age themes. She continues to publish new fiction, including the fairy-tale reimagining Red Wolf (2021), across more than a dozen series and multiple imprints.
