Rhiannon Frater is an American horror author based in Texas. She is best known for the As the World Dies trilogy, beginning with The First Days, a zombie-apocalypse saga she initially self-published before Tor Books issued a revised, expanded edition; the opening novel earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly. She continued the series with further volumes collected as As the World Dies Untold Tales. Frater also writes the vampire series Pretty When She Dies, following a young woman transformed into a vampire and seeking revenge on her killers, and The Vampire Bride, along with additional horror fiction such as The Living Dead Boy and the Zombie Hunters. Her novels combine graphic horror with survival and romance elements, reflecting her path from self-published indie horror into traditional publishing.
