Rich Larson

Rich Larson (born 1992) is a science fiction author born in Galmi, Niger, now based in Canada, who began publishing genre fiction around 2011 and has since become known primarily for short stories placed widely in magazines and on Tor.com. His debut novel Annex (2018) opens The Violet Wars, a story of an alien invasion of Earth seen through the eyes of children, while his standalone novel Ymir (2022) reimagines the Beowulf legend as space opera. His short fiction is collected in Tomorrow Factory, gathering stories notable for their kinetic pacing and interest in body modification, artificial intelligence, and posthuman identity, themes that recur across his prolific output of shorter work.
