Richard Kadrey

Richard Kadrey is an American author born in 1957 in New York City, now based in Pittsburgh. An early contributor to the cyberpunk genre with his 1988 novel Metrophage, he is best known for the Sandman Slim series, thirteen novels following a magician who returns from Hell to Los Angeles seeking revenge, blending noir crime fiction with dark urban fantasy. He has also written the comic fantasy Coop novels, including The Everything Box and The Wrong Dead Guy. Several of his books have reached the New York Times bestseller list. Kadrey has also worked as a photographer and journalist, co-founded the Dead Media Project with Bruce Sterling, and edited the magazines Shift and Future Sex.
