Richard Paolinelli

Richard Paolinelli is an American science fiction author and publisher, born in Turlock, California, in 1964. He began his writing career as a freelancer in 1983, contributing scripts to the Elite Comics series Seadragon, before spending roughly a quarter century as a newspaper sportswriter. After retiring from journalism in 2010, he returned to fiction full-time, publishing novels including Escaping Infinity, a Dragon Award nominee, and the Starquest 4th Age series. He co-hosted The Writer's Block on LA Talk Radio from 2016 to 2022 and is a co-founding publisher of Tuscany Bay Books, a small press. Paolinelli now lives in North Dakota, where he continues to write and publish genre fiction alongside his publishing work.
