Rob Boffard

Rob Boffard is a South African-born science fiction author, born in Johannesburg in 1984, who also writes as Jackson Ford. Before turning to fiction full-time he worked as an award-winning journalist and broadcaster, with bylines in The Guardian, Wired, and io9. As Boffard, he is known for the Outer Earth trilogy, beginning with Tracer, a space-set thriller series following survivors aboard a space station orbiting a ruined Earth. Writing as Jackson Ford, he created the Frost Files, following psychokinetic government operative Teagan Frost across novels including Random Sh*t Flying Through the Air, a series that has sold over 100,000 copies and been optioned for television by CBS. He divides his time between Los Angeles and extensive travel.
