Robin Burcell

Robin Burcell is an American mystery and thriller author born in 1959, who trained with the FBI as a forensic artist and spent more than two decades in law enforcement as a police officer, detective, and hostage negotiator. Her professional background informs series including the Kate Gillespie novels, beginning with Every Move She Makes, and the Sydney Fitzpatrick series, which follows an FBI forensic artist through books such as Face of a Killer and The Bone Chamber. Since 2016 she has co-authored the Fargo Adventures series with Clive Cussler, continuing the globe-trotting exploits of treasure hunters Sam and Remi Fargo in novels including The Oracle. Burcell won the Barry Award for Best Paperback Original in 2000 and the Anthony Award for Best Paperback Original in both 2003 and 2004.
