Robin Wasserman

Robin Wasserman (born 1978) is an American novelist who writes speculative and literary fiction for teenagers and adults. She built her reputation with the Cold Awakening trilogy (originally Skinned, Crashed, Wired, 2008-2010), about a teenager who wakes from a car crash to find her mind transplanted into a mechanical body, and the standalone thriller The Book of Blood and Shadow (2012), which entwines Prague alchemical history with a present-day murder mystery. She has also written tie-in fiction for Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter world, including Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, and the disaster thriller The Waking Dark (2013). A Harvard and UCLA graduate who began her career as a children's book editor, Wasserman later published the adult novel Mother Daughter Widow Wife (2020), a PEN/Faulkner Award finalist, and teaches in Southern New Hampshire University's low-residency MFA program.
