Robison Wells is an American novelist and blogger born in Utah in 1978. He began writing fiction in college alongside fellow authors Dan Wells and Brandon Sanderson, publishing several novels before signing a young adult deal with HarperTeen in 2010. His breakthrough, Variant (2011), a science fiction thriller set in a sinister boarding school, earned starred reviews and led to the sequel Feedback and the Blackout series, comprising Blackout and Dead Zone. He later co-wrote the bestselling The Warning (2019) with James Patterson. Wells holds degrees from the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, and has spoken publicly about living with OCD and schizophrenia.
