Roger Bingham

Roger Bingham (1948-2023) was a British science broadcaster, author, and television host best known for popularizing neuroscience and evolutionary psychology on American public television. Based in La Jolla, California, he developed the Science and Society Unit at PBS station KCET, where he wrote, produced, and hosted the documentary series Frontiers of the Mind, and later co-wrote and hosted The Human Quest, whose episode The Nature of Human Nature won a Writers Guild of America Award. He co-founded and directed the Science Network and created the Beyond Belief science conferences. Earlier in his career, before establishing himself in broadcasting, Bingham co-authored the novel Wild Card, part of a speculative Presidential Trilogy, and later returned to book-length writing with the popular-science volume The Origin of Minds.
