S. A. Hunt is an American writer of horror and fantasy, born in Georgia and now based in Petoskey, Michigan. Before turning to fiction full-time, she served in the U.S. Army beginning in 2005, first as military police and later as a transportation coordinator, deploying to Afghanistan's Regional Command West and earning a Joint Services Achievement Medal. Hunt is best known for the Malus Domestica trilogy, Burn the Dark, I Come with Knives, and The Hellion, a possession-and-witchcraft horror series built around a YouTube ghost-hunter heroine that reached Amazon's horror bestseller lists. Her earlier Outlaw King fantasy series won r/Fantasy's Stabby Award for Independent Novel of the Year in 2014. She also mentors emerging writers through the National Creative Society.
