Sally Nicholls

Sally Nicholls is a British author of children's and young adult fiction, born on June 22, 1983, in Stockton-on-Tees. She studied philosophy and literature at the University of Warwick before earning a master's in writing for young people from Bath Spa University. Her debut novel, Ways to Live Forever, about a boy with leukaemia, won the 2008 Waterstone's Children's Book Prize and was adapted into a 2010 film; it also won Germany's Die Zeit Luchs des Jahres. She has since written historical fiction including All Fall Down, set during the Black Death, and Things a Bright Girl Can Do, about suffragettes in the First World War. Her Time-Seekers series follows child time travelers through the English past.
