Sarah Kuhn is an American writer of comics, prose fiction, and pop-culture nonfiction, of half-Japanese, quarter-German, and quarter-English descent, based in Los Angeles. She is best known for the Heroine Complex series, six urban-fantasy novels centered on Asian American superheroines navigating demons, celebrity, and found family in San Francisco. She has also written young-adult novels including I Love You So Mochi and From Little Tokyo, With Love, and comics work for DC, including Shadow of the Batgirl and Girl Taking Over: A Lois Lane Story, as well as a Star Wars Doctor Aphra comic. Kuhn was a finalist for the 2018 Astounding Award for Best New Writer, and was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary The Claudia Kishi Club.
