Sean Stewart

Sean Stewart, born Michael Sean Irwin in 1965 in Lubbock, Texas, is an American-Canadian author who graduated with honors in English from the University of Alberta. His science fiction and fantasy novels include Resurrection Man, Galveston—which won the World Fantasy Award—Mockingbird, and Perfect Circle, work praised for its literary craft within genre fiction; Resurrection Man was named a New York Times Best Science Fiction Book of the Year. He later moved into interactive storytelling, serving as lead writer on the alternate-reality game The Beast and the viral ilovebees campaign, co-founding Fourth Wall Studios, and co-authoring the Cathy's Book young-adult series, which incorporated real phone numbers and websites into its mystery plot. He also wrote the Star Wars novel Yoda: Dark Rendezvous. Stewart won a Peabody Award in 2022 and multiple Aurora Awards.
