Shane Hegarty

Shane Hegarty is an author of children's and middle-grade fantasy adventure. He is best known for the Darkmouth series, a monster-hunting adventure sequence beginning with The Legends Begin (2015) and continuing through Worlds Explode (2015), Chaos Descends (2016), and Hero Rising (2017). He also writes the Boot series for younger readers, beginning with Boot (2019) and continuing through The Rusty Rescue (2020) and The Creaky Creatures (2020), alongside the further title Minotaur Boy (2026).
