Shannon Mayer

Shannon Mayer is a Canadian author of paranormal and urban fantasy who lives on a farm, where she balances livestock chores with a prolific writing career. Raised in a Star Wars-loving family, she has said she began writing because she didn't want to stop believing in magic and the creatures other people insisted weren't real, and nods to that upbringing recur throughout her books. She is best known for the long-running Rylee Adamson series and its Epilogues, following a tracker who hunts supernatural criminals, alongside further series such as Elemental, Shadowspell Academy, Nix, Desert Cursed, and the Venom and Nevermore trilogies. Outside writing, Mayer practices archery, with ambitions toward horseback archery, and enjoys baking when the farm allows the time.
