Sharon Green

Sharon Green (1942-2022) was an American author of fantasy, science fiction, mystery, and romance who began writing full-time in 1984. She was known for creating strong, often combative heroines in series such as the Jalav: Amazon Warrior books, the science fiction Terrilian sequence, and the Diana Santee, Spaceways Agent novels, alongside the long-running fantasy series The Blending and its sequel sequence The Blending Enthroned. Green described some of her early work as a deliberate response to female characters she saw as poorly served by other fantasy of the era. Over a career spanning nearly four decades she published dozens of novels and, in later years, continued several series through self-published eBooks distributed via her own author website.
