Shaun Hamill is an American author of literary horror. His debut novel, A Cosmology of Monsters (2019), blends family drama with cosmic and body horror centered on a haunted-house attraction business and was praised on release as an unusually literary entry in the horror genre. He followed it with The Dissonance (2024), a horror novel exploring rival magical traditions in small-town Texas. Hamill has since also written media tie-in fiction for Titan Books' pulp-adventure lines, including the Solomon Kane novel Suffer the Witch (2026) and the Alien franchise novel Perfect Organisms (2025). His work moves between substantial original horror fiction and franchise storytelling, both marked by an interest in monstrous threats and family or found-family bonds under pressure.
