Stephanie Garber

Stephanie Garber is an American young-adult fantasy author, born in 1987. She worked as a college resident director while writing several unsold manuscripts before selling her breakout novel, Caraval (2017), a lush, competition-driven fantasy that spent fifteen weeks on the New York Times bestseller list; its sequels, Legendary and Finale, completed the trilogy, with Legendary reaching number one. She returned to the same world with the Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy, beginning in 2021, and continued the series further with Alchemy of Secrets (2025). Fox has optioned the film rights to Caraval.
