Stephen Dedman

Stephen Dedman is an Australian author of dark fantasy and science fiction, born in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1959 and based in Perth. His debut novel, The Art of Arrow-Cutting, earned a Bram Stoker Award nomination for Best First Novel, and his short fiction has won the Aurealis Award for best fantasy short story and, in a separate year, for best horror short story. Dedman writes widely across shared-world tie-in fiction, including Shadowrun stories such as For a Few Nuyen More and A Fistful of Data, erotica collected in the ConSensual anthologies, and Doctor Who short fiction including Short Trips: Destination Prague. He also served as a story editor for the Australian genre magazine Borderlands, and his work has drawn more than thirty award nominations across science fiction and horror honors.
