Stephen Mark Rainey

Stephen Mark Rainey is an American horror author born in 1959 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has published widely across horror short fiction and novels, including Blue Devil Island, Other Gods, and The Nightmare Frontier, alongside media tie-in work for the Dark Shadows and Ameri-Scares series. Rainey edited the small-press horror magazine Deathrealm during the 1990s, a showcase for genre short fiction that helped feature numerous horror writers of the era. His own fiction favors atmospheric, Southern-inflected horror across short stories and novels rather than a single ongoing series. He has published more than seventy works of horror fiction across his career.
