Stephen Roos

Stephen Roos (born 1945) is an American author of children's and middle-grade fiction, born in New York City. He contributed to R. L. Stine's Ghosts of Fear Street, the younger-reader spinoff of the Fear Street series published under Stine's name but written by a rotating group of authors; copyright records credit Roos specifically for volumes including The Boy Who Ate Fear Street, Fright Christmas, The Ooze, and Who's Been Sleeping in My Grave? Roos spent his later years in Key West, Florida, in a long-term relationship with retired publishing executive Frank E. Taylor, a connection noted in accounts of Taylor's life and his involvement with the Key West Literary Seminar.
