Steve Libbey

Steve Libbey (born 1969 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American writer known for co-creating the Secret World Chronicle with Mercedes Lackey, developing its characters and premise out of an online role-playing environment the two shared. Published by Baen from 2010, the series is a superhero saga told as a sequence of "braided novels" with multiple contributing authors, including Cody Martin, Dennis Lee, and Veronica Giguere alongside Libbey and Lackey, following a team of empowered protagonists confronting supernatural and superhuman threats. Libbey has also written independently within the same fictional universe, including The Bloodbaths. His work centers on collaborative, serialized superhero fiction blending action, humor, and ensemble storytelling.
