Steven E. Wedel

Steven E. Wedel is an American author from Oklahoma known for horror and dark fantasy fiction, with a particular focus on werewolf mythology across his long-running Werewolf Saga. He has also written the multi-volume Saga of Tarod the Nine-Fingered and other series blending horror, folklore, and small-town Americana. Wedel is known outside his solo work for co-authoring young-adult horror novels with fellow writer Carrie Jones, including After Obsession, about a haunted Oklahoma town, and In the Woods; both pair Jones's YA sensibility with Wedel's grounding in werewolf and regional horror lore. His fiction frequently draws on Midwestern settings and small-town atmosphere, and he has built a substantial backlist of independently published novels and story collections across werewolf, supernatural, and folk-horror themes.
