Stuart Gibbs

Stuart Gibbs, born June 11, 1969, is an American author of mystery and comedy novels for tweens and teens. Before writing for young readers he worked in Hollywood, co-writing the screenplays for the films Showdown, See Spot Run, and Repli-Kate. He has since built a string of bestselling middle-grade series, including FunJungle, Spy School, and Charlie Thorne, alongside the science-fiction Moon Base Alpha books, Spaced Out and Waste of Space, and the swashbuckling Last Musketeer series. His novels are known for fast pacing, comic voice, and mystery plotting aimed squarely at reluctant as well as avid young readers, and several series have run to multiple sequels and spin-off collections.
