Stuart Moore is an American writer and editor of comic books and novels. He was a founding editor of DC Comics' Vertigo imprint and later held editorial roles at Marvel Knights, Virgin Comics/SciFi Channel, and St. Martin's Press, work that earned him the 1996 Will Eisner Award for Best Editor and the 1999 Don Thompson Award for Favorite Editor. As a writer he has scripted comics for both major publishers, including Firestorm and Detective Comics for DC and Web of Spider-Man and Namor: The First Mutant for Marvel, alongside creator-owned work such as Earthlight. He has also written prose fiction, including Civil War: A Novel of the Marvel Universe, the movie novelization of John Carter, and entries in Disney's Zodiac Legacy series, moving fluently between comics scripting, tie-in fiction, and original novels.
