Sue Parritt is an English-born Australian author who worked in university libraries before taking early retirement in 2008 to concentrate on writing fiction. Now living near Melbourne, she has published twelve novels, including the speculative Reluctant Doorkeeper Trilogy — Sannah and the Pilgrim (2014), The Sky Lines Alliance (2016), and Pia and the Skyman (2016) — and the dystopian novels 28 Days (2021) and Exposure (2022). Parritt describes her goal as a writer as incorporating peace and social justice into her fiction, and has spoken about valuing the extensive life experience older writers bring to storytelling aimed at readers of all ages.
