Susan Krinard is an American novelist who studied illustration, earning a BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts, before a friend encouraged her to try writing romance. Her debut novel, Prince of Wolves (1994), launched a long career in paranormal romance blending vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings with human love interests. Krinard is best known for her Victorian-set werewolf romances, the Nightsiders vampire series, and the urban fantasy Midgard/Mist and Fane sequences. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she lived in Toronto during the 1980s before settling in New Mexico with her husband, and has published widely through HQN, Luna Books, Bantam, and Berkley.
