Susan Sizemore

Susan Sizemore (1951-2020) was an American writer of romance, fantasy, and science fiction. She began writing Star Trek fan fiction before shifting to original romance, and won the Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart Award in 1991, selling her debut novel within days of that win. She is best known for two connected vampire series, Laws of the Blood and Primes, which draw on her background in cultural anthropology to build vampire societies grappling with relationships, politics, and child-rearing alongside genre romance and horror elements. Sizemore also wrote the Time Search series, beginning with Wings of the Storm (1992), the historical MacLeods of Skye Court trilogy, and the contemporary paranormal Living Dead Girl series.
