Suzanne Williams

Suzanne Williams is an American author of children's fiction, born in 1953. She is best known for co-writing The Goddess Girls with Joan Holub, a long-running middle-grade series set at Mount Olympus Academy, where young versions of the Greek gods attend school; Williams writes the chapters centered on Persephone and Aphrodite, while Holub covers Athena and Artemis. The two also collaborate on the spin-off Heroes in Training, following boy heroes such as Zeus and Poseidon, and on the fairy-tale mashup Grimmtastic Girls. Beyond her partnership with Holub, Williams has written the Fairy Blossoms and Princess Power chapter-book series for younger readers. Her books blend accessible mythology and fairy-tale retellings with school-story humor aimed at elementary-age readers, and The Goddess Girls alone has grown into dozens of volumes.
