T. E. Grau

T. E. Grau is an American horror writer born in Ames, Iowa, working primarily in Lovecraftian and weird fiction. His debut collection, The Nameless Dark, gathered his short fiction exploring cosmic horror and was a nominee for the Shirley Jackson Award for Best Single-Author Collection. He has contributed frequently to Cthulhu Mythos anthologies alongside other contemporary weird-fiction writers, and expanded into the novel form with I Am the River, which follows a former operative haunted by supernatural violence connected to the Vietnam War. His other collections include The Lost Aklo Stories and Triptych: Three Cosmic Tales, continuing his focus on hidden, ancient horrors intruding on ordinary lives. Grau is part of a wave of modern writers extending H. P. Lovecraft's mythos into new settings and moral registers.
