T. L. Huchu is the pen name of Tendai Huchu, a Zimbabwean-born author, born in 1982 in Bindura, who emigrated to the United Kingdom in 2002 and works as a podiatrist in Edinburgh. He writes speculative fiction alongside earlier literary novels, and is best known for the Edinburgh Nights series, beginning with The Library of the Dead, which follows a young ghost-talker named Ropa Moyo navigating a magical underworld beneath the Scottish capital and continuing through further installments including The Mystery at Dunvegan Castle. His work has won the Nommo Award for African speculative fiction and the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award.
