T. R. Napper is an Australian science fiction author known for cyberpunk fiction grounded in Asia-Pacific settings. His debut collection, Neon Leviathan (2020), gathered near-future short fiction, and his novel 36 Streets (2022) is set in a virtual-reality-inflected future Hanoi. He also wrote The Escher Man (2024) and the officially licensed tie-in novel Bishop (2023), following the synthetic character from the Alien film franchise. His story "The Weight of the Air, the Weight of the World" was recognized in Australia's Ditmar Awards, and some of his short fiction has circulated through Hugo Award voter packets. His forthcoming novel, This Machine Kills Billionaires, is due in 2026.
