Tara Sim

Tara Sim is a fantasy author whose work frequently incorporates supernatural themes and LGBTQ+ representation. She is best known for the Dark Gods duology -- The City of Dusk and The Midnight Kingdom -- a multi-POV epic fantasy built around several ruling houses and their god-granted magic. Sim also wrote the earlier Timekeeper trilogy, a steampunk-inflected fantasy beginning with the title novel, and the YA fantasy duology Scavenge the Stars. Her fiction consistently pairs richly built magic systems and multi-character ensembles with queer protagonists and relationships, and she continues to expand her catalog with new series such as We Shall Be Monsters and the forthcoming The Dawn Throne.
