Ted Sanders

Ted Sanders (born 1969) is an American author and creative-writing instructor who teaches as an assistant professor of English at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His short-story collection No Animals We Could Name won the 2011 Bakeless Prize and included the story "Obit," chosen for the O. Henry Prize Stories anthology, and he has received a literature fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. For younger readers he created the Keepers series, four middle-grade fantasy novels beginning with The Box and the Dragonfly and continuing through The Harp and the Ravenvine, The Portal and the Veil, and The Starlit Loom, following children who discover a hidden world of magical objects and secret guardianship.
