Tera Lynn Childs is an American writer of young adult fantasy and romantic comedy, born in 1976 in Anoka, Minnesota. Her debut novel, Oh. My. Gods. (2008), follows a teenager who discovers she is a descendant of the Greek goddess Nike after her mother remarries into a secret lineage of Greek deities' descendants; the book won the Romance Writers of America's RITA Award for Best First Book. Childs is also known for two connected mermaid duologies, Forgive My Fins and Fins Are Forever, and the Sweet Venom/Medusa Girls trilogy, which reimagines the Gorgon sisters as modern-day monster hunters.
