Terry J. Benton-Walker

Terry J. Benton-Walker is an American author of young-adult fantasy and horror. His debut novel, Blood Debts (2023), opens a duology about twin siblings from a powerful Black Creole magical family in New Orleans who must confront a decades-old curse tied to their family's past, continuing with Blood Justice (2024). He also writes the middle-grade Alex Wise series, beginning with Alex Wise vs the End of the World (2023), which follows a young demigod navigating Greek mythology alongside contemporary middle-school life. Benton-Walker has additionally contributed to horror anthologies for young readers, including The White Guy Dies First (2024), a collection of scary stories examining genre tropes through a lens of race and power.
