Terry Mixon is an American writer of military science fiction and space opera. Before turning to fiction full time, he served as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division and later spent nearly two decades supporting NASA's Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs as a flight controller at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. That background in orbital mechanics and military structure informs his best-known work, the multi-volume Empire of Bones Saga, a space opera following the fall and rebuilding of a galactic empire. He has also written The Last Hunter, The Forgotten Ship, the Humanity Unlimited Saga, and the Vigilante series, along with contributions to the shared Four Horsemen universe. Mixon lives in Texas and continues to publish new installments across his ongoing series for readers of adventure-driven space opera.
