Tim Lebbon is a British writer of horror and dark fantasy, born in London in 1969. He won the British Fantasy Society's August Derleth Award for Best Novel for Dusk, the first book of his Noreela fantasy saga, followed by Dawn and Fallen; he later returned to horror-adjacent fantasy with the Hidden Cities series (co-written with Christopher Golden, beginning with Mind the Gap) and the assassin-focused Toxic City and Assassin sequences. Lebbon is also a prolific media tie-in writer, best known for the New York Times-bestselling novelization of the horror film 30 Days of Night and further contributions including Hellboy: Unnatural Selection and, within the Alien franchise, The Rage War trilogy. Several of his novels and novellas have been optioned for film.
