Tina Folsom is a German-American author of paranormal romance, born and raised in the small town of Cham, Germany. She worked for years as a finance manager before turning to writing, publishing her first romance novel in 2008 while living in San Francisco; she began self-publishing in 2010 and left her corporate career the following year as her book sales took off. She has sold more than two million copies of her novels, with an additional million given away in promotions. She is best known for the long-running Scanguards Vampires series, a San Francisco-set vampire romance saga inspired by her many years in the city, along with further paranormal series including the Werewolf Alliance, Stealth Guardians, and Venice Vampyr. Extensive international travel has shaped her multicultural settings; she now lives in Southern California.
