Tom Lloyd

Tom Lloyd (born 1979), full name Tom Lloyd-Williams, is a British fantasy novelist from Reading who studied politics and international relations before working in publishing. He debuted with The Stormcaller (2006), opening the six-novel Twilight Reign series, an epic fantasy following a young man marked as the chosen vessel of a war god amid feuding tribes and empires, continued through The Twilight Herald, The Grave Thief, The Ragged Man, and The Dusk Watchman, with the companion collection The God Tattoo. He followed it with the two-book Empire of a Hundred Houses and the heroic fantasy series The God Fragments (2016-2020), centered on a contest for reality-altering relics. Lloyd, who lives in Oxford, has built a reputation for densely plotted, character-heavy secondary-world fantasy sustained across long series.
