Tony Peak is an American science fiction author based in southwest Virginia, near the New River. He began writing seriously in 2008 and published his first work the following year, building a body of space-opera and survival fiction that includes the Eden trilogy, about castaways struggling to survive on a hostile alien world; the military-flavored Cygni Corps series; the Delta Desperadoes and Redshift Runners space-adventure trilogies; and standalone novels such as Inherit the Stars and Signal. His work draws on classic and contemporary influences including Carl Sagan, Arthur C. Clarke, Frank Herbert, Ursula K. Le Guin, Octavia Butler, and Jeff VanderMeer, and centers themes of exploration, resilience, and human adaptation under pressure. Peak is represented by the Ethan Ellenberg Literary Agency and has described his approach to a long independent career as one of patience and persistence, continuing to publish new series installments each year.
