Tony Shillitoe (born 1955 in Tailem Bend, South Australia) is an Australian fantasy and science fiction writer. He debuted in 1992 with Guardians, the first of the Andrakis trilogy, published by Pan Macmillan, and went on to write extensively for HarperCollins, including the Ashuak Chronicles, beginning with Blood, and the Dreaming in Amber quartet. His novel The Last Wizard and the Ashuak opener Blood were both shortlisted for the Aurealis Award for Best Fantasy Novel, and his young-adult titles, including Joy Ride and Caught in the Headlights, have been used in Australian schools. A longtime fixture of the Adelaide speculative-fiction scene, Shillitoe has published steadily across interconnected fantasy sagas for three decades, building a reputation for immersive, tightly linked secondary-world storytelling.
