Trent Jamieson

Trent Jamieson is an Australian writer of speculative fiction, based in Brisbane, who has worked as a bookseller and taught at Queensland University of Technology since first publishing the short story "Threnody" in 1994. He won Aurealis Awards for the short stories "Slow and Ache" and "Cracks," and is best known for the Death Works trilogy, Managing Death, Death Most Definite, and The Business of Death, a comic urban fantasy following a reluctant psychopomp in Brisbane's afterlife bureaucracy. His other major work is the steampunk-inflected Nightbound Land duology, Roil and Night's Engines, and he has since published the standalone novels Day Boy and The Stone Road, moving between horror, science fantasy, and literary speculative fiction.
