Tyler Whitesides

Tyler Whitesides is an American writer born in 1987 in Washington state, with a bachelor's degree in music from Utah State University. He began publishing in 2011 and specializes in fantasy for middle-grade and young-adult readers. His debut series, Janitors, follows kids who discover that school custodians are secretly battling magical creatures that feed on children's creativity, and grew to five books plus the continuation School of Garbage. For young-adult readers he created the Kingdom of Grit series, beginning with The Thousand Deaths of Ardor Benn, a heist-driven epic fantasy featuring an ambitious con artist in a world powered by a form of alchemical dust. He also wrote the two-book Wishmakers series. His books are published through Shadow Mountain.
