Vashti Hardy

Vashti Hardy is a British author of fantasy and adventure fiction for children. She is best known for the Brightstorm series, following the Vane twins on airship voyages of exploration across a re-imagined polar world, and for the standalone novel Wildspark, which won the Blue Peter Book Award for Best Story in 2020. Her Harley Hitch series follows a young inventor navigating an underwater world in the Fossil Mystery, Iron Forest, and Missing Moon adventures, and she has also written the fantasy novels Crowfall and North and the Only One. Hardy's books are published by Scholastic UK and Barrington Stoke and have been praised for combining inventive world-building with warm, character-driven adventure aimed at younger and middle-grade readers.
