Vaughn Heppner

Vaughn Heppner is a Canadian-born author of military science fiction who moved to Central California before seventh grade. He has described discovering his path to writing almost by accident, receiving a typewriter from a friend before switching to computer-based drafting, and has since built one of the more prolific bibliographies in independent military and space-opera fiction. His work spans multiple long-running series, including The Lost Starship, Lost Civilizations, the artificial-intelligence-driven The A.I., and the Doom Star, Traveler, and Invasion America series, generally featuring besieged human factions fighting for survival against alien or rogue-machine threats. Heppner maintains an active author website and has sustained a steady release schedule across his many interlocking series for years.
